Today’s job in the garden (besides watering of cource) is to tidy the pond by trimming all the leaves that have become too tall and are prevalent if light from getting to the flowers and other leaves. If we did not do this the leaves would become yellow and the flowers would die. They would then begin to break down and decay and become slimy and black.
The picture is off the ladder across the pond when the maintence was in progress. The later helps us get to the centre without falling in. We make sure the stems are cut below the water line so it does not look messy when completed.
